About us:

We are, essentially, a collective of rejects and down-on-our-luck creative types just trying to find a way and taking a crowbar to that niche.

Screaming Matriarch was set up with the intention of sharing and delivering our artwork straight to you minus the 'Middle Man'. We think we can cut him out and give, just that little bit better. We are very fond of the DIY ethic and of 'the rise of the social enterprise' (that is, doing it within the community) So as artists we share the tasks of running mum's machine; we do the admin, we design all of our own stuff, screen-print our own packaging & fabrics and all of our textile items are hand sewn or machine-made by friends or relatives. Other small businesses are our best friends.

Some of us; you would have heard of, some of us; you won't. Either way we're glad you're here. Every few months we will be introducing you to one of our artists. Slow and easy does it. So check back for new additions to the Screaming Matriarch shop.
